About the Painting

There are few flowers in the garden that can be more of a stand out than the hibiscus. They are so large and showy. You just cannot miss them. This one burst forth, not only with color but also with size. It was bigger than all the others. Bigger than my outstretched hand and was calling for my attention. It was as if it saying, “Look at me, look at me! I am bold and beautiful!” And so I had to capture this beacon of beauty on the canvas.



This is an original, signed painting. This painting is part of a series, 30 paintings in 30 days that I did for the month of September 2016.
