About the Painting

Spent a lovely day along the shores of San Domingo Creek in St. Michaels, Maryland. There were a few workboats tied nearby. These are the traditional boats used to catch crabs, oysters, clams and fish along the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. These boats and the watermen that use them used to be very plentiful around the region but their numbers are declining. Working on the water all year can be quite a challenge.
